We recommend dogs be vaccinated for canine distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus and kennel cough - 'C5' vaccination. Puppies receive 3 puppy vaccinations starting at 6 weeks, then 8 weeks then 10 weeks. If your puppy comes in after 10 weeks of age and pending their previous vaccinations, they will receive one 'C5' vaccination that has an injectable and an intranasal vaccine component that will be protective for 12 months. This means that your puppy will be protected earlier and can have the full benefit of attending puppy preschool classes earlier and be socialized at an earlier age. After their primary vaccinations, all pets should receive a yearly 'C5' booster to continue their protection.
We recommend cats and kittens at least be vaccinated for Feline herpesvirus, calicivirus and panleucopenia - 'F3' vaccination. Kittens and cats of any age that have not been vaccinated previously or have lapsed more than 3 years with their yearly booster vaccination receive 2 primary 'F3' vaccinations 3-4 weeks apart. After their primary vaccinations, all pets should receive a yearly booster to continue protecting them against the above infectious diseases.
FOR OUTDOOR CATS:
We recommend that they be additionally vaccinated against Feline immunodeficiency virus - FIV and microchipped if not done so already. As Kittens, they will receive an injection at 8 weeks, 10 weeks and 12 weeks of age. Then, they will receive a yearly booster to keep protecting them against the disease.
